Freedom Ain't Free
According to AAA, it costs the average person over $8,500 per year to own and operate a typical sedan. That breaks down to over $700 per month taking into account car payments, fuel, maintenance, insurance, and depreciation in value. The U.S. has been building cities designed to accommodate cars over all other modes of transit (including walking) since the end of World War II. This has created communities across the country where cars are the only feasible mode of transportation.
